My Fitness Program, Day 1

Kevin Borland posted a photo:

My Fitness Program, Day 1

I weighed myself today for the first time in over a year, surprised that I had reached 285 pounds, approximately 100 pounds over my ideal weight. So, I had an idea. I decided I will be the first person (that I'm aware of) to document a long-term fitness program on flickr.

My fitness program started at 7:00 PM this evening, beginning with a 2.5 mile hike from my apartment to Windy Run Falls, and back. The walk to my destination was mostly downhill, and I had little difficulty, aside from occasional mild pain from pressure in my knees when walking down steep hills. My course was approximately three quarters of a mile on pavement, followed by a half-mile on a wooded path, crossing Windy Run three times. The uphill return trip was more difficult for me, and I was out of breath by the time I was just over two-thirds of the way home. I had broken quite a sweat by the time I walked up the three flights of stairs back to my apartment. My plan for the rest of the night is to limit my caloric intake to one medium-sized dinner and only two or three soft-drinks, to do 50 crunches, and to stretch for a half hour.

That transmission reminds me of meat. Jazzercise & taekwondo are backwards.
